My Portfolio — nyaker

Context

I created this portfolio to showcase my projects and skills in a way that is both professional and original. Unlike a classic, static CV, the one you are browsing is a complete application written in Python.

Description

Being used to developing in Python, I wondered how to put these skills to work for an original portfolio.
I had already used Textual for several applications, but few people want to run a Python script to browse a portfolio, so I looked for a way to expose it in a web page.
I found textual-serve, a project from the Textual developers that serves a Textual application in the browser. A static HTML version, generated from the same content, is offered for mobile devices.

Evolution

Initially, my portfolio was a simple HTML/CSS site.
Then, I used a simple cms that allowed me to make simple markdown-based sites.
Finally, I decided to create a complete python application with Textual for more flexibility and originality.

Security

The application is served in read-only mode, preventing any unauthorized modifications. It is not a simple terminal redirected into a web page.
Moreover, the resources allocated to the application are limited to prevent any overload or abuse.
