SAE Multisites
This project involves designing and configuring a multi-site network using Cisco devices. The objective is to set up a complex network infrastructure with VLAN segmentation, inter-site routing, and security.
Context
As part of my BTS in Networks and Telecommunications, this SAE (Learning and Assessment Situation) allowed me to work on advanced network configuration. The simulated network includes multiple sites interconnected via WAN links, with requirements for high availability and security.
Technologies used
- Cisco IOS : Router and switch configuration
- VLANs : Network segmentation
- Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) : Loop prevention
- OSPF : Dynamic inter-site routing
- ACLs : Access control and security
- IOU/GNS3 : Network simulation
Configuration realized
The network includes:
- Distribution and access switches with VLAN configuration
- Border routers for inter-site interconnection
- Routing protocols for inter-site communication
- Network security measures (filtering, authentication)
The detailed configuration files are available in the project repository, including startup configurations for each simulated device.
Skills developed
- Designing complex network architectures
- Advanced configuration of Cisco devices
- Network troubleshooting
- Technical documentation
- Teamwork on network projects
